Warspite's X turret was secured rather than restored

Was HMS Warspite's X turret ever repaired?

It was made safe and watertight, but it was not restored as a working main-battery turret.

The panel distinguishes repairing the ship from restoring every weapon to operation. Warspite's damaged X turret could be sealed and secured so that the battleship remained mobile and seaworthy. The mounting itself was not returned to effective service. By that stage, keeping the ship available for the missions she was actually performing mattered more than recovering every main gun.
