An F3-inspired alternative to King George V needs a heavier secondary battery to meet the demands of the later period. The 35,000-ton limit leaves little room to combine that battery with high speed, heavy main guns, and substantial protection. Welding is suggested as one way to save weight, while the game prevents some design techniques the participants would like to try. Escalation to 40,000 tons is discussed, but the UAD build has already reached roughly 58,000 tons. Its deliberately ahistorical 16.5-inch guns and six 5.25-inch mounts make this a design experiment whose final configuration has moved well beyond the original treaty constraint.

Testing an F3-inspired alternative to King George V
The UAD design session tests whether an F3-derived battleship can balance speed, armor, heavy guns, and a stronger secondary battery under treaty-era constraints.
