All-forward armament concentrates damage risk

An all-forward battery saves design weight and supports seakeeping, but it concentrates magazines near the bow and makes forward damage especially dangerous.

Notes

The British design spends weight on seakeeping and carries an all-forward main battery in the Nelson tradition. That arrangement concentrates magazines forward while leaving machinery aft. Shell hits and fire near the bow therefore threaten a large share of the ammunition spaces at once. Differences in subdivision may help determine whether such damage remains local or spreads, so the simulation illustrates a real design tradeoff even when its exact armor model is imperfect.
