Warship endurance starts with ordinary equipment

Refrigeration, fuel tanks, and machinery connect industrial supply with a ship's operational reach.

Notes

A warship requires a supply network extending beyond missiles, sensors, and guns. Refrigeration, bedding, fuel tanks, and engines all have to be sourced, supporting employment across industry. Food storage and machinery help determine how long a ship can operate away from support and how far it can go. Replenishment at sea can extend that reach when the supporting ships are available and properly crewed. These ordinary systems are therefore part of operational capability.
