An extended-fuel Walrus configuration is estimated to offer a patrol radius of about 600 miles with light anti-submarine weapons. That estimate depends on additional tanks and modifications rather than the standard aircraft alone. A Swordfish could gain endurance by exchanging its torpedo for an extra fuel tank. Its floats added drag, however, so the tradeoff differed from that of the Walrus flying boat. Aircraft configuration and payload therefore mattered alongside the availability of tender bases.

Walrus and Swordfish patrol endurance
Extra fuel increased patrol endurance, but weapons and float drag limited what the available aircraft could cover.
