Export orders can keep a modular frigate line ready

MEKO's international order stream becomes a model for keeping production active until the home navy needs more ships.

Notes

Successful exports can keep a shipbuilding line active between domestic orders. Germany could then obtain ships from continuing MEKO production when its own navy needs another batch. Britain's Type 31 programme provides the comparison: additional Royal Navy orders would help establish the reputation and throughput needed for sustained export work. The suggestion allows either further Type 31s with a different weapons fit or a second batch called Type 32. The designation matters less to this argument than placing enough orders to sustain the line until export demand develops.
