The Hawker Hart becomes an international aircraft family

The Hart produced a family of bombers, fighters and naval derivatives used by Britain and numerous foreign air arms.

Notes

The Hawker Hart became the basis for a large family of military aircraft. Its derivatives included the Audax, Demon, Hardy, Hartbees, Hind, and naval Osprey. Hart-family aircraft served with Britain and operators including Afghanistan, Canada, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, India, Iran, Iraq, South Africa, Sweden, Portugal, Spain, Yugoslavia, and the Straits Settlements. Individual derivatives had different customers, so these operators did not all fly the same variant. Some family members remained in use during the Second World War. The Osprey carried the family's adaptable airframe into fleet service.
