An alternate G3 layout for balance and maintenance

A hypothetical raised-C-turret G3 shows how designers could redistribute forward weight while giving the mounts wider theoretical arcs.

Notes

The proposed variation raises the aft of the three turrets rather than the middle forward mount. Moving that mass rearward reduces the concentration of weight in the bow. A ship's centre of gravity matters along the hull as well as vertically because it affects movement through the water. In the hypothetical arrangement, the raised turret could rotate through 360 degrees while the other mounts retained broad arcs, although the ship's own structure would still prevent firing through every bearing. The exercise makes longitudinal balance and practical firing limits visible instead of treating turret placement as an aesthetic choice.
