How an earlier Cuckoo order could reduce production delays

An earlier Cuckoo program gives Blackburn more time and fewer competing aircraft projects, making a 1917 strike plausible within the counterfactual.

Notes

Moving the Cuckoo program about six months earlier changes the factory's workload as well as the delivery date. Blackburn would have fewer competing aircraft projects while converting the design into something it could build in quantity. Concentrating its development effort on the Cuckoo could therefore shorten the production work. This is the industrial assumption behind using the planned mixed carrier force for a strike in 1917 or early 1918.
