Admiral carrier conversions and an early G3

A counterfactual combines Admiral-class carrier conversions with early G3 construction and asks how completed ships might alter the Washington treaty settlement.

Notes

The incomplete Admiral-class hulls were considered for carrier conversion, work that may explain Cammell Laird's later reputation for carrier expertise. A completed G3 with 16.5-inch guns would be much harder for treaty negotiators to ignore than an unbuilt paper project. The G3's existence could force different limits or replacement concessions at Washington. Both tonnage bargaining and the carrier fleet inherited by the Royal Navy could change.
