Uncrewed systems as the broadest field for cooperation

Shared uncrewed surface, subsurface, and aerial systems could patrol the enormous ocean areas faced by all four navies and perform ASW, mine, sensor, and aviation tasks.

Notes

The strongest overlap lies in systems that expand presence without assigning a crew to every sensor or weapon carrier. Uncrewed craft could carry torpedoes, lay mines, serve as mobile listening posts, or act as self-deploying successors to sonobuoys. Uncrewed aircraft could operate from carriers and LHDs, while maritime vehicles could distribute anti-submarine searches across wide areas. Britain, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand all have more ocean to monitor than their crewed fleets can continuously cover, making common development especially attractive.
