Testing a 12-gun super-Lion against Yamato

A 65,000-ton, 12-gun enlarged Lion tests British yard capacity, armour assumptions, and the tactical value of 16-inch volume of fire.

Notes

The Orion simulation mounts twelve 16-inch guns on a roughly 65,000-ton enlarged Lion and tests it against Yamato. Several British yards could have handled a ship of that loaded displacement, but the model deliberately exaggerates its belt to 21 inches. A historically plausible response would be closer to 15 or 16 inches, while the three-layer armour and water-gap suggestion remains speculative. Twelve faster-firing guns provide range and volume of fire, yet the AI's decision to close lets Yamato's 18-inch shells turn the result into a close-run fight. The trial keeps industrial feasibility distinct from speculative design choices and game behaviour.
