An early turret hit complicates the treaty-cruiser comparison

A suspected turret and torpedo detonation prevents a clean comparison of the two cruiser designs.

Notes

The French and Japanese game cruisers begin exchanging fire with different gunnery settings and technology. An early hit is suspected of detonating an aft Japanese turret and possibly nearby torpedo launchers. A participant proposes a rerun to remove the influence of that exceptional hit. Differences in dispersion and radar generation are also discussed, without agreement that they explain the full disparity. Course control is manual, while gunfire is largely left to the game. The result therefore cannot isolate one design feature as the cause of victory.
