Rebalancing Tiger's speed, protection, and weight

A UAD redesign uses the removal of Tiger's third funnel and torpedo armament to reconsider speed, deck armour, flooding protection, and weight balance.

Notes

The redesign begins with a practical displacement problem: removing Tiger's third funnel releases roughly a thousand tons, but every gain invites another choice between speed, armour, structural protection, and stability. Raising speed to 31 knots competes with stronger bulkheads, while deleting the torpedo armament and returning to 29 knots creates room for a three-inch deck and maximum available flooding protection. A double bottom, barbette protection, shaft count, and the stern-heavy weight balance all remain part of the same calculation. The redesign stays close to the historical character of the ship, so every available upgrade is weighed against that constraint. Together, these choices show how warship speed, protection, propulsion, and stability interact.
