HMS Tiger was already larger and heavier than the Queen Elizabeth class despite being a battlecruiser. Her original design approached the fast-battleship idea through increasing size and density. The Queen Elizabeth class approached a similar combination through the development of faster battleships. Their overlap makes a Tiger-based battleship a plausible subject for a counterfactual. The comparison concerns the ships as originally designed, before later reconstruction.
