Rosyth's cranes and industrial support make the dock useful

Rosyth's value for the Queen Elizabeth class comes from its dock, cranes, construction experience, and surrounding industrial support together.

Notes

A graving dock cannot perform major naval work in isolation. Rosyth's large crane and nearby construction capacity make it more useful than a bare space of similar dimensions. The dock has little surplus length around a Queen Elizabeth-class carrier, so lifting and support equipment must be positioned efficiently. Major repair depends on the surrounding industrial system as much as the dock walls.
