The proposed layout combines the original funnel uptakes into two stacks at the second and fourth funnel positions and raises the bridge superstructure. Two twin 4.7-inch mounts go forward, with the remaining three arranged aft, possibly in a triangular Q, X, and Y pattern. The two twin four-inch mounts occupy the waist between the funnels. Pom-poms and quadruple machine-gun mounts are distributed around the superstructure. The position of the quadruple torpedo launchers remains open, while the conversion aims to preserve most arrangements below decks.
