Would Canada add the CL-84 Dynavert to the carrier program?

The Dynavert has plausible carrier roles but loses to the cheaper path of adapting aircraft already in Commonwealth service.

Question

Could a Canadian carrier deal include CL-84 Dynaverts for airborne early warning or other aviation roles?

Short answer

They could serve as transports or AEW platforms, but the extra aircraft program and support costs make adoption unlikely.

Notes

Troop transport and airborne early warning are the most credible carrier uses for the tilt-wing aircraft. It is poorly suited to anti-submarine work, and Canada is unlikely to fund the added program. Even a technically suitable aircraft brings a separate training, maintenance, logistics, and industrial burden. Canadian participation in the carrier plan is already assumed to be fiscally reluctant. An optional new aircraft would be one of the first attractive ideas cut from the program.
