Chapter · 2:10:25-2:11:26

New Zealand could sustain one useful naval yard

New Zealand's population did not support many yards, but its economy could plausibly sustain one facility and gain industrial benefits from doing so.

Notes

After funding a battlecruiser and building a major dock, New Zealand did little to develop domestic warship construction. The country's population could not sustain a large network of yards, but one active facility was realistic. Regular small-ship orders would provide naval utility and retain repair skills. They would also deepen local engineering capacity.
