Question

Was there ever a naval Sea Hunter?

Short answer

No operational Sea Hunter was produced, although navalized studies existed and a hooked Hunter trainer supported Fleet Air Arm testing.

Notes

Studies for a naval Hunter existed, but no operational Sea Hunter followed. A two-seat Hunter T.8 carried an arrestor hook, and Hunters later supported testing associated with the Sea Harrier's Blue Fox radar. The Fleet Air Arm chose other aircraft for operational carrier service.
