Mixed air groups before fully uncrewed carriers

A major power's emergency carrier is more likely to combine crewed and uncrewed aircraft before trusting an entirely uncrewed strike air group.

Notes

The closing design exercise asks what hulls and systems a navy could adapt for a modern emergency carrier. At the time of recording, uncrewed aviation is compared with the development level of crewed aviation in the 1920s, with perhaps another 20 years needed to reach an equivalent of 1945 capability. A full-length carrier for a major power would therefore be unlikely to operate only uncrewed aircraft immediately. The expected progression starts with mixed air groups, moves to optionally crewed aircraft, and eventually reaches fully uncrewed aviation. Loyal-wingman missions are already plausible, but independent high-end strike operations demand greater trust and technical maturity.
