What the Legend build history says about frigate output

A ten-ship Legend programme spread across roughly 19 years provides the comparison for the higher output expected of a mass-produced frigate.

Notes

The rough production comparison runs from the first Legend keel in 2005 to the last commissioning in 2024 and counts ten ships. That span illustrates the scale of the earlier programme, without providing a year-by-year delivery schedule. A simpler cutter hull therefore does not by itself demonstrate the capacity to deliver frigates rapidly in much greater numbers. The new ship would also add weapons and systems to the cutter baseline. The concern is the extra work required to raise both complexity and output at the same time.
