Project 22350 cells and gas-turbine delays

The stated 16 strike and 32 air-defense cells sit beside a construction history disrupted by turbine supply.

Notes

The baseline fit has a stated 16 strike-length cells and 32 tactical air-defense cells, with 32 of each in the upgraded arrangement. Project studies date to the 1990s, approval to 2003 and the first keel to 2006. Russia then went to war with its gas-turbine supplier, disrupting construction. Ship power and operating systems built around those turbines required redesign, while domestic turbine manufacture demanded industrial capacity that could not appear immediately. Assessing individual hulls under construction is also difficult when parts from several builds share one yard. Publicly released build information is accepted with that verification limit in mind.
