Would the converted cruisers carry a floatplane?

Probably not. Their proposed modern forward superstructure could accommodate radar and possibly fighter-direction features.

The converted cruisers are unlikely to carry a floatplane. A ship accompanying the initial Narvik attack would instead contribute a large volume of 4.7-inch gunfire. The proposed refit also includes a modern forward superstructure with room for radar and other equipment. Fighter-direction features might be incorporated from the beginning, although this remains a possibility within the counterfactual reconstruction.
