Chapter · 9:24-14:39

Modernizing a fleet means retiring old hulls

The campaign’s fleet review links scrapping obsolete warships, releasing crews, and expanding a specialised submarine force.

Notes

Older capital ships, destroyers, and light cruisers are retired when newer designs make them redundant. Scrapping does not mean the old ships were always poor. It releases scarce crews and removes hulls that no longer match the fleet standard. Mine-laying submarines are then ordered to extend offensive and defensive reach. The sequence connects personnel, replacement construction, specialised vessels, and the danger of overloading shipyard capacity.
