Modern fire control for Gallipoli bombardment

Tiger-era gunnery control would make 9.2-inch cruisers valuable for precise shore bombardment alongside the monitors at Gallipoli.

Notes

A 9.2-inch ship designed in Tiger's era would carry more modern fire-control equipment than many older vessels available for amphibious support. That matters at Gallipoli because inaccurate bombardment can threaten friendly troops as readily as enemy positions. The Royal Navy also sent numerous monitors, whose shallow draught made them sensible ships for close coastal fire despite their low profile in popular accounts. Tiger Cubs would complement those monitors with longer-range, accurately controlled heavy fire rather than replace them.
