Publicly available figures do not support the claim that the F-35C has twice the F-35B's range. The listed internal-fuel range is a little over 1,200 nautical miles for the F-35C and more than 900 for the F-35B, an advantage of about one third. The F-35C carries substantially more fuel but is also more than a ton heavier when empty. Public combat-radius figures narrow the operational comparison further, with roughly 617 nautical miles listed for the C model and about 500 for the B. The CATOBAR aircraft therefore has a large and useful advantage, but its reach is not double.

How much range the F-35C gains over the F-35B
Public fuel, weight, range, and combat-radius figures show a meaningful F-35C advantage, but not the claimed doubling over the F-35B.
