Dreadnought hull balance, roll and persistent pitch

The game design distinguishes static weight balance from roll and pitch: correcting the weight offset leaves persistent pitching to solve.

Notes

The revised Dreadnought design tests turret positions, beam and tower placement around its 13.5-inch battery. Narrowing the beam requires changes to the superstructure, while six-inch guns occupy more of the available space. Roll is the side-to-side motion, and pitch is the fore-and-aft rocking motion. The game's pitch value remains high even after the fore-and-aft weight balance becomes acceptable. Adjusting armour can improve the weight offset without solving that separate problem, leaving the quality of the gun platform in doubt.
