The Dantop was the Danish derivative of the Hawker Horsley. In seaplane configuration its all-up weight reached 9,420 pounds, compared with 9,270 pounds for the torpedo-carrying Horsley. The Danish aircraft used an Armstrong Siddeley Leopard II or IIA engine rated at about 800 horsepower. Early RAF and Greek Horsleys instead used the 665-horsepower Rolls-Royce Condor IIIA.
