Question

Is the Constellation class more like Type 26 or Type 31?

Short answer

It sits between them; the comparison is a spectrum rather than a direct class-for-class match.

Notes

Constellation is placed between Type 26 and Type 31 in this comparison. It does not map directly onto either British class. The missile-heavy Arleigh Burke is placed between Type 26 and Type 45, illustrating a second mismatch between national ship categories.
