Escaping wing turrets on an early dreadnought hull

A redesign tests whether an early dreadnought hull can carry its 13.5-inch guns on the centreline instead of accepting wing turrets.

Notes

The game exercise begins from the historical problem that early dreadnought arrangements often relied on wing turrets. Moving the tower, funnel, and secondary structure frees centreline positions for the main battery. The altered layout also has to find room for eight six-inch secondary guns without losing the ship's balance. Turret arcs and superstructure placement emerge as parts of one naval-architecture problem rather than independent choices.
