A modern warship resembles a floating server farm because computing hardware, electrical generation, and cooling occupy a large share of the hull. The remaining space must still support the crew, stores, and weapons, so information systems directly compete with combat payload. Uncrewed vessels do not remove that engineering burden. Without sailors available to repair failures, their computers and other critical systems may need three or four redundant paths rather than the two that a crewed ship can often sustain.

Modern warships as floating server farms
Power generation, cooling, and computers compete with weapons and stores for hull space, while uncrewed ships need extra redundancy to replace onboard repairs.
