Warrior's impact depended partly on Britain building her sister Black Prince and preparing further construction. The pair demonstrated an ability to reproduce a powerful ocean-going ironclad. Rivals also had to reckon with Britain's ability to deploy these ships into their own waters. In this interpretation, the repeated construction and overseas reach made British industrial capacity a source of deterrence.
