Question

Is Typhoon better than the EA-18G Growler at suppressing enemy air defences?

Short answer

Growler is favored for its specialist suppression role, while Typhoon is recognized as a capable fighter.

Notes

The discussion rejects the suggestion that Typhoon is better than Growler at suppressing enemy air defences. Typhoon is rated highly as a fighter, while Growler is described as a specialist built around this role. In the wider raid comparison, that specialist capability operates alongside the range of weapons and aircraft available to US forces. The judgment concerns this particular mission rather than every measure of aircraft performance.
