Building a ten-gun Queen Elizabeth concept

A live design demonstration works through the space, weight, speed, armor, machinery, and secondary-armament compromises behind a ten-gun Queen Elizabeth-style battleship.

Notes

The visual design exercise works through the compromises required to fit five twin main-battery turrets on a Queen Elizabeth-style battleship. Beam, draft, machinery, armor, bulkheads, torpedo protection, turret positions, and secondary armament all change as the main battery grows. Moving barbettes and concentrating weight amidships affect balance and pitch, while higher speed demands more machinery and funnel capacity. The result is a quick game-based approximation that keeps scenario rules separate from a historical design claim. It still shows how one desired feature changes displacement, protection, layout, and cost.
