An F3 and 15-inch/50 path reshapes the interwar fleet

The closing counterfactual considers Britain choosing an F3-type design and the 15-inch/50 gun instead of the historical N3 route.

Notes

An early British answer need not jump directly to the familiar G3 and N3 designs. The F3 with a 15-inch/50 gun offers a particularly consequential branch. The Queen Elizabeths, Admirals, Hood, Renown, and Repulse might later receive the longer weapon during modernization. Once that calibre becomes the fleet standard, a 14-inch King George V class becomes much less likely.
