A 38,000-ton F3-derived British battlecruiser

Scaling the F3 study toward the available treaty tonnage could produce a very fast British battlecruiser, especially if a 15-inch/50 armament saved weight.

Notes

The F3 study provides a plausible starting point for Britain's new battlecruiser allowance rather than a finished answer. Its roughly 33,000-ton basis can be compared with about 38,000 tons available for each new ship in the programme. That margin permits a substantially enlarged design, while choosing the proposed 15-inch/50 gun instead of a 16-inch weapon could save further weight. A speed near 36 knots is possible, but the actual balance of machinery, armament, and protection remains open. The moment shows how treaty categories shape design tradeoffs without dictating one inevitable ship.
