Completing Renown and Repulse as Revenge-class battleships

Battenberg's existing construction programme points toward completed Revenge-class battleships and an experimental fast Agincourt rather than Fisher's Renown and Repulse battlecruisers.

Notes

Fisher pressed Churchill to halt capital-ship construction, partly to reserve dockyard capacity for damaged ships and other wartime demands. Battenberg had helped order the ships concerned and was more likely to continue his own programme. His tenure had produced no new battlecruiser orders after Tiger, consistent with a preference for stronger battleships and the possibility of making them faster. In this counterfactual, Renown and Repulse would be completed as second-batch Revenge-class battleships. Resistance and the proposed Agincourt would also continue in the naval dockyards. Retaining those ships would remove the construction decisions that historically produced the Renown-class battlecruisers.
