Question

Did German attacks reach shipping in the Bristol Channel?

Short answer

Yes; traffic serving Cardiff, Newport, and other Bristol Channel ports was within the coastal campaign's reach.

Notes

German attacks extended into the Bristol Channel, an important route for Welsh ports and industrial cargo. The brief answer broadens the geography of the coastal campaign beyond the better-known Channel and east-coast danger zones.
