Agincourt's armour judged by 1914 standards

Possible improvements to deck and belt protection remain modest by later fast-battleship standards.

Notes

A fast battleship designed in 1914 would follow the protection standards of its own period. Queen Elizabeth-class decks are given as 1 to 3 inches, compared with 1 to 4 inches in the Revenge class. The proposed Agincourt might use the thicker pattern over magazines and machinery. A 15-inch belt is suggested as a possibility, compared with the 13-inch belts of those existing classes. Carrying 18-inch guns does not establish that the ship would have an 18-inch belt.
