A.G. Vulcan built battleships, torpedo boats, submarines, destroyers, and warships for foreign customers, but the Stettin yard was particularly associated with cruisers. Its output included German ships such as Rheinland and Pommern, Greek destroyers, Chinese cruisers, and a cruiser for Russia. Repeated work on related designs gave the yard the same sort of specialism that a few British builders developed in destroyers. By the Second World War, it was chiefly a submarine yard and used enslaved workers from its own prison camp.
