Completing the Admiral class without repeated redesign

Starting with fast battleships could avoid redesign delays and leave five large 18-inch-gunned ships in service before naval treaty negotiations.

Notes

Repeated changes to the Admiral-class designs delayed the ships after Hood as their intended protection and role moved toward fast battleships. In this counterfactual, designing them as fast battleships from the outset could allow construction to proceed. Together with Agincourt, the Royal Navy might finish the war with five ships of roughly 40,000 tons or more carrying 18-inch guns. Those completed ships would change the starting point for later treaty limits.
