2 Minutes: Victorian Naval Diplomacy & @BaileInneraora - Mediterranean gunboat diplomacy

The opening introduces the crises at Constantinople, Alexandria, and Tangier, three major cases of Victorian naval diplomacy between 1878 and 1906.

Two crises suffered from muddled diplomatic and naval handling. A naval officer's quick action partly rescued one, while local naval realities made another worse.

The final crisis achieved the best result with the least impact because diplomatic and naval plans worked together under clear guidance, with Gibraltar in the background.
