A post-Jutland preference for fast battleships cannot erase ships already built or far advanced. HMS Revenge and HMS Royal Oak were already in service by Jutland, HMS Resolution was fitting out, and HMS Ramillies would launch in June 1916. HMS Royal Sovereign had been left behind because her crew was inexperienced, not because the design could be cancelled. The whole Revenge, or R, class therefore enters service even if the alternative battle changes the next generation of British capital ships. This construction timeline separates immediate fleet inheritance from later design lessons.

Why the Revenge class still arrives
A post-Jutland preference for fast battleships cannot cancel the Revenge class because its ships were already in service, fitting out, or approaching launch.
