A much larger carrier strike on Taranto

Without Force H's historical mission, Ark Royal can combine with Eagle and perhaps Illustrious for the strike on Taranto. That could place several times the historical aircraft over the anchorage, with the larger and more exposed Littorio-class ships especially vulnerable to additional torpedo hits. The likely result is longer repair periods and a much weaker modern Italian battle line. Once those ships are neutralized, older British and French battleships can cover the theater while major carrier forces move toward the Indian Ocean.
