Vanguard's possible preservation after a Falklands deployment

What might happen to Vanguard after serving through the Falklands War alongside a refitted Tiger?

Vanguard would probably retire in the late 1980s or the 1990s and then be preserved at Portsmouth.

If Vanguard survived in service long enough to fight in the Falklands, retirement in the late 1980s or the 1990s followed by preservation is considered probable. Thatcher and her colleagues are expected to support preserving her. Portsmouth is the suggested home, where she could join Victory, Warrior, and Mary Rose among the city's historic ships.
