How Unicorn-style support ships could sustain drones

A forward aviation support ship's workshops and assembly space would suit expendable strike drones better than an ordinary carrier alone.

Notes

Argus's expected retirement aligned with the projected arrival of Unicorn and a possible sister ship. Unicorn's extensive engineering facilities and aircraft-assembly capacity would have suited the preparation of simple drones near the fleet. Expendable aircraft would have to be stored compactly, assembled quickly, tested, and supplied before launch. An uncrewed air arm would therefore need an industrial and logistical system at sea in addition to flight-deck space.
