A distributed missile magazine may appear efficient because an uncrewed hull can rotate back for reloading while a crewed ship retains sensors and command. The missile carrier remains a valuable, lightly defended target during transit. A submarine outside the nominal war zone could attack it, forcing the fleet to provide an escort and eroding the manpower and force-structure savings. The concept therefore has to account for the complete logistics route, not only firing inside the engagement area.

Uncrewed missile trucks still create an escort problem
Separating sensors and command from uncrewed VLS hulls can create vulnerable ammunition ships that still need protection while cycling to and from the fight.
