The original Type 31 expectation was delivery of all five Inspiration-class frigates by 2028. The schedule examined in December 2025 instead suggests that only Venturer, Active and Formidable might be in service by the end of that year, if progress allows. Bulldog and Campbeltown extend the sequence into 2029 and 2030. This comparison also moves between delivery and service entry, so those milestones should remain distinct. A longer construction sequence offers more room to spread work and adjust the fit, but it prolongs the shortage Type 31 is meant to relieve. The weapons fit is still open to discussion.
