A twelve-gun British battleship tests the treaty counterfactual

The simulation pits a 51,500-ton British twelve-gun design against paired German battleships while separating late-war fittings from a plausible early-1930s treaty ship.

Notes

Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts visualizes a British counterfactual with twelve 15-inch guns and aviation facilities. The rendered ship displaces about 51,500 tons at full load, and fitting it under the proposed treaty ceiling would require more work. The design is slightly slower than its German counterpart, giving the German ship a possible means of escape rather than an offensive advantage. Radar and several other fittings belong to the late 1930s or 1940s instead of 1932. Placing two such British ships against Bismarck-type opponents makes this a design and force-balance experiment rather than a claim about an actual historical engagement.
